Exams move through several statuses during their lifecycle. Understanding each status helps you manage your assessment pipeline effectively.
Status Lifecycle
Draft: Exam is being built and not yet available to candidates. Published: Exam is live and can be assigned. Active: Candidates are currently taking the exam. Completed: All invited candidates have finished or deadlines have passed. Archived: Exam is no longer in use but data remains accessible.
View status on your exams dashboard. Filter by status to focus on exams needing attention. Click any exam to see detailed candidate progress and submission statistics.
Status-Based Actions
Draft exams can be edited freely. Published exams lock content to ensure fairness, but you can still modify settings. Active exams should not be changed mid-administration. Completed exams unlock full analytics.
Archive exams you no longer need to declutter your dashboard. Archived exams remain searchable and their results stay accessible.
Use status filters and search to quickly find exams by name, date range, or associated job posting. This keeps your workspace organized as exam volume grows.
